About the event

IMPORTANT — due to weather conditions, this event has been postponed to Feburary 23rd

Oh No! Poetry Collective presents a unique celebration of poetry, community, and self-expression.   Join us for an unforgettable night filled with spoken word and visual delight, featuring your poetry projected across the walls and people of the Kingsland art space.

Don't miss the chance to be part of this vibrant artistic experience!  Submit your work for consideration to ohnopoco@gmail.com before February 7th, see below for submission guidelines.

You’ll also be able to sign-up to our 10 pm soapbox open mic on the night, to share your poetry while enveloped in projected verse.

BYO Seating: Bring your own seating, blankets and warm clothes for a comfortable and cozy experience.

Refreshments: Bring along your favorite drink to sip on as you enjoy the poetry-filled night.

Poetry Submission Guidelines

  • Please submit your poetry to ohnopoco@gmail.com before midnight NZDT on February 7th.
  • While international submissions are welcome, we will prioritize poetry from Aotearoa (New Zealand).
  • Oh No Po Co reserves the right to decide which poetry will be featured in the projection event.
  • If you live near Auckland and would like to perform your poetry at our event, please indicate your interest in your submission. You can also show up on the night, and we will do our best to accommodate additional performers.
  • We are committed to creating a respectful and inclusive environment. As such, we will not accept submissions with discriminatory or otherwise prejudiced views.
  • We also retain the right to decline your poetry submission in any other given situation, particularly if we feel it doesn’t fit with the guiding values and ethos of our community.
